Since Comcast took over from Adelphia in my area, I have had nothing but trouble. I don't know if there are clowns running the operation over there, but the service and the customer service stinks. Adelphia apparently didn't switch over my January and February payments (or my account history), so when Comcast took over, they said I had a $300 past due balance. Even though I have had my bank on the phone with Comcast and have faxed over proof of payment, they refuse to make things right. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing over there. Departments don't talk to each other. None of their internal struggles are this customers fault though.
My service is also spotty, and is currently out until Tuesday, when a tech can come between 8-11. That's the third time that has happened. I'm posting this from a neighbors wireless. At this rate, I will be switching to something else. Juno dial up would be more reliable than this flippin' service. Comcast...you stink.
I hate Comcast as well! You need me to get on the horn with them? I'll set them straight, and get you a credit to boot!
Bellsouth was real good for us. We only switched to Comcast because we don't get Bellsouth out here in the sticks!

I hear you. While our service has been okay, the fact that our monthly fee is going up by $20 was enough to have us cancel.
After 10 minutes on the phone from someone trying to convince me to stay (including offering to drop our monthly fee to $35, definitely worth the call to get a lower price if you're staying with them) the salesman finally agrees to cancel service.... But only if my wife calls. Time for her to spend another 10 minutes.
I can't even imagine all of the grief you're having. I'd recommend DSL if you can get it.

Oh, so you don't like Comcast, eh. Just think about what it would be like with no cable service. Three channels, if you're lucky, with hazy reception. One of them would probably be public televison too. Enjoy those Dr. Who reruns from 1979.
Oh, you'll pay your bill, whatever WE say it is. You can leave, but you'll come crawling back. They always do. Just wait until you want to see a USA made for tv movie, or something on Lifetime. Then you'll finally properly respect your cable overlord.
Mur har har har har!
Thank you for calling Comcast Customer Service. Have a nice day, Citizen.

We have spoken to the corporate office of Comcast. Our service has been horrible! We have vonage so when our cable internet is out so is our phone. We have had Internet outages as much as 8 times in one day. The corporate office told me that when they switched over Adelphia members that they had a patch made so their software would work with our boxes and it was not doing so well.(really!) As far as their customer service, I had one girl laugh at me for complaining. That is when me husband went to the investor site and got the number for a VP. We left a message and the call was returned early the next business day. I hate to tell you this but the tech probably won't be able to do much. I was told there is nothing they can do until they get the software fixed. They don't seem to be in a hurry. They know that our only choice is to go to Dish. We have had trouble for months!
