I'm going to the FSU vs UF game in Gainsville today. Anthony said that as long as I am with a Florida fan, I will not get beer or insults thrown at me while walking around the stadium. But I should not wander off on my own.
Speaking of the Seminoles, it appears that a few years ago we had good players but bad coaches. Now we have good coaches and not so much on the players. I think we are a head coach (Bobby needs to retire and FSU should steal Mark Richt from Georgia) and a top QB recruit away from competing seriously - but the FSU program will one day rise again.
I think going to this game is kind of like being a missionary. First, I'm the holy one going into the pagan culture of the University of Florida. I'll do my best to help these sinners see the errors of their ways and repent.
You're right that Bowden needs to retire, but Richt isn't going anywhere. Chan Gailey might be available though.

I guess I'm so much a FSU fan that I bleed garnet and gold. When I went through Gainesville on my way to and from Tampa,
I had to be thankful that I was on my way away from "The Swamp." Being from Tampa, I had to give the USF Brahma Bulls a nod and a "Yeah."

The reason why we had the good players bad coaches was because the players Jeff Bowden had were Chuck Amato's recruits before he left. They players we have now are Jeff Bowden's recruits.
Bobby will retire soon; his contract is about to end. But his replacement? Richt? I'd rather see Jimbo Fisher stick around for the job.

i think jimbo came because he wants the head coaching job, but i wasn't too impressed with the offense this year. i know he didn't have the qb or all the players, but he really didn't do much better than jeff bowden.

Now, if I remember correctly, Mark Richt got his start at FSU. Hmmm, don't you think he'd be chomping at the bit to go back...
